I always feel that I need to be able to see where I am going, only in faith can we truly let go and know that God will be guiding us. I was at the Youth Council meeting a couple weeks ago, and there were 25 jr. & sr. high students there, eager to have some guidance and more opportunitites to come together as a group in Christ. The problem seems to be that they are willing to continue the tradition of a strong youth program, but don't have enough guidance to become leaders themselves. I think we should try to continue "leading by example", and help them with the opportunities that Ashley promoted: helping set up the "old" youth room in the Parish Hall basement as a place not only for them to just gather and socialize, but to have a place they can call their own and do some reflection & meditation. I will be happy to find out more details about what kind of sweat equity they will need to get this project to fruition.<BR/><BR/>As far as the rest of us, we still have some uncharted waters to get through in the next few months. I sometimes trap myself into the busyness of things and miss the deeper oppertunity to grow closer to God.
